Jed Lowrie as the starting SS?
June 26th, 2007 by czar

I really hope Jed Lowrie can stay at SS.  He should be ready after another year or two which will make Lugo’s contract a lot easier to move. I would love to see an infield of Youkilis, Pedroia, Lowrie, and Bates/Anderson a couple years down the road.

Lowrie’s rise won’t make Lugo’s contract any easier to move. Lugo’s contact is virtually impossible to move at present. Whether or not Jed Lowrie is ready in a couple years has no bearing on Lugo’s marketability. Only Lugo’s statistics have bearing on Lugo’s marketability.
